“COMPANY CENTRAL”
“Company Central” is a competitive dance team formed for the serious dance student interested in a committed, fuller dance experience. Company members participate in master classes, dance competitions and are offered various performance and travel opportunities.
Requirements include:
- Enrollment and satisfactory attendance in the required classes for their assigned team/level. Company members are encouraged to dance more if possible. “Level 3 & 4” teams are required to dance a minimum of 7 hours per week. “Level 2” teams are required to dance a minimum of 6 hours per week. “Level 1” teams are required to dance a minimum of 4.5 hours per week. Note: There may be one or more teams at each level. Team members will be assigned to a competition group with others that share a similar ability, age, maturity and level of commitment.
- Company members are responsible for any associated fees.
- Company members must be available for all scheduled Company classes, rehearsals, performances, conventions and competitions.
- Minimum age of 8 years.
- Annual participation in our summer dance workshop and a minimum of 4 weeks of the summer technique classes offered at their level.
- Permission of the faculty.
Level 1-4 Competition Teams

Level 1 Team members are required to dance a minimum of 4.5 hours per week (Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Technique classes are required). Team members are able to choose 1 or more additional hours from those recommended for their level. They will perform in a minimum of 3 dance competitions per season.
Level 2 Competition Team
Level 2 Team members are required to dance a minimum of 6 hours of dance per week (Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Technique classes are required). Team members are able to choose 2 or more additional hours from those recommended for their level. They will perform in a minimum of 3 dance competitions per season.
Level 3 & 4 Competition Team
Level 3 & 4 Team members are required to dance a minimum of 7 hours per week (Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Technique classes are required). Team members are able to choose 3 or more additional hours from those recommended for their level. They will perform in a minimum of 3 dance competitions per season and are also required to attend at least 1 national convention per season.
Dance Team – By Invitation
“Dance Team” is a newly formed performance group intended to give select students, showing potential and an increased enthusiasm for dance, an additional performance opportunity and a taste of the competition experience. Members will stay in the respective Tap and Jazz classes and must be enrolled in 1 hour of ballet and 1 hour of “Dance Team”.
Team members will compete one dance in one local competition in the spring. Members must be at a minimum of 8 years of age and be available for all scheduled rehearsals, performances and competitions.
